Ministry of Environmental Protection in Israel

Established in December 1988 (before that all environmental issues were sped between few other ministries). The Ministry of Environmental Protection in Israel today consists of more than 20 professional departments, which primarily focus on environmental hazard. In particular, the Open Spaces and Biodiversity Department’s activities consist of: open space planning and policy-making; serving as a representative for the Ministry on planning committees for agricultural lands, reserves, queries, beaches, streams, and more. The Open space and Biodiversity department collaborating with other relevant environmental organizations, as well as working with the Israel Nature Park Authority to implement the importance of biodiversity in Israel.
